  • Based on the U.S. Labor Department monthly price survey for all goods and services which applies an extensive time-tested sampling methodology for electric and natural gas costs to consumers, per kilowatt-hour or per therm, including all the components of utility bills.
  • Data since the late nineteen seventies. Updated monthly. Lag is less than a half month.

  • For each of the four census regions: northeast, midwest, south and west.
